About Me
I find it exceedingly easy to write about knitting, video games, fiction, my cats—all of the things that I love—but it's significantly harder to write about myself. What does that say about me?
I'm a twenty-something in the suburbs of Chicago with a passion for the written word and a serious addiction to creation. I love building something new from the ground-up, which fueled my love for knitting. Since around the summer of 2015 I've been clinking my needles together almost nightly, and most of those nights, I'm also knitting.
Additionally, I'm hilarious.
You could call my love of crafting more of a compulsive need to be good at everything, which is always fun to reconcile with the reality of being moderately okay at some things. I've dabbled in crocheting, cross stitching, papercrafting (love me some pepakura), jewelry making, sewing, and soap making, but the only craft that's been able to capture my attention long enough for me to see some improvement in skills has been knitting.
I wanted to document my journey in pattern writing and share some designs with the world, but none of them are good enough to sell, so a blog of free patterns it is. One man's inadequacy is another man's free garbage.
Aside from knitting, my hobbies include video games (I'm a Sony fangirl and I'll fight you on that), reading, writing, listening to music, collecting indie fragrances, and playing the ukulele very poorly. I'm engaged to be married this summer to the one man on earth who will tolerate my crap, I got my first speeding ticket recently and it's still bothering me, and the only things I care about are my two perfect cats, Echo and Tofu (I mean it, that's it).

Don't find me on other social media, I'm not about that
